Newbie owner

Hi

I am the proud owner of a 1949 Cosmopolitan fastback. I have only seen pictures but I am confident that the previous owner has provided me with all of its history. I should be taking delivery before the end of September.

I previously restored a1948 Ford deluxe coupe. I hope to make this Lincoln as nice as the Ford!

My first work will be to convert to a 12 volt system and replace the front brakes with disc brakes. I am purist at heart, but I want this to be something that I can drive and show at local car shows.

I am excited and am looking forward to sharing my efforts with everyone, as well as picking the brains of you'll.

I haven't owned any Cosmopolitans yet but I've seen that the two upgrades that you speak of are common.

There's something about driving to and from shows that adds to the experience.

Confidently stopping is cool too
